Ayurveda Full-Body Massage1. Start with warming the specific oil in a bowl of boiled water.

2. Use the open part of your hand, rather than fingertips, to massage your entire body.  Use circular motions over rounded areas (head, joints) and straight strokes over straight areas (neck, long bones).

3. Start with your head. Pour the small amount of oil on your hands and massage it into your scalp. Use the flat part of your hands, make circular strokes to cover the whole head.

4. Move to face and outer ears, remembering to apply the small amount of oil as you move from one portion of your body to the next.

5. Massage the front and back of your neck, and the top of your spine. At this point, you want to cover the rest of your body with the thin layer of oil to give maximum time for the oil to soak in.

Vigorously massage your arms, using a circular motion on your shoulders and elbows and long, back-and-forth strokes on your upper arms and forearms.

6. Now massage your chest and abdomen. Massage circular motion over your heart and abdomen. You can start in the lower right part of your abdomen and move circular toward the left lower part, to gently massage to intestines.

7. Massage your back and spine the best you can.

8. Massage your legs, using circular motions over your knees, hips, and ankles. Use long straight over your thighs and calves.

9. Finally, massage your bottoms of your feet. Use the palm of your hand to massage the soles vigorously.

10. Allow absorption for 20 minutes before a warm bath or shower.
