There are various methods in Ayurveda to improve your Deteriorating eyesight. If proper care for the eye is not taken, it can result in various eye conditions such as age-related macular degeneration and cataracts, which is a leading cause of blindness. Proper caring for the eyes is one preventative measure that helps.

Prolonged illness and nervous debility can cause Drishti dosha. Common cold can also lead to eyesight defects. Stress, Diabetes, alcohol intake, Excessive smoking, caffeinated drinks are also responsible for defective eyesight.

Ayurvedic Diet for Improving Eyesight

  • Consuming the apple and grapes help you to improve the eyesight.
  • Cucumber juice tries to improve it immensely for your eyesight.
  • Carrot contains a good quantity of vitamin A which proves to be one of the useful natural treatments for enhancing eyesight.
  • Spinach purifies your blood and increases the hemoglobin and improve your eyesight.
  • Blueberry juice also considered to very useful for eyes.
  • Tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, Turnip, fresh milk, cheese, butter, soya beans, green peas, oranges and dates are a good source of vitamin A includes them in your diet.
  • Almond is ideal for eyes; it strengthens the vision and calm mental stress.
  • You can mix some cardamom seeds with one tablespoon of honey. Eat daily.

Ayurvedic Herbs for Improving Eyesight

  • Consume Fresh Amla juice and drink 20 ml twice a day.
  • Asparagus Mix 1 teaspoon of powdered asparagus in half teaspoon of honey. Take the twice daily with warm cow’s milk.
  • Make Bhringraj herb or amla herb oil or paste is applied to eyes, it helps you to improve eye vision.
  • Black pepper powder mix with honey to improve eyesight.
  • Rub a ghee on soles of the feet to improve eye vision.
  • Fresh garlic juice is used for regaining lost eyesight.
  • Freshly Rose petals extracted the juice of properly cleaned rose petals for improving eye vision.
  • Take 1 teaspoon of liquorice powder with cow’s milk twice daily. This powder can also be mixed with ghee or honey.
  • Triphala is an important herb for eye health, especially blurred eyesight or to prevent the development of cataract.
Exercises for Improvement Eyesight
  • Close the eyes very tightly by closing the lids tight. Open them quickly which allows you to feel the stretch. Once open arch your eyebrows and stretch your face. Repeat this several times a day.
  • Look as far as possible and Blink your eyes more than dozen times. Do the same procedure by turning to your left and right then diagonally up to the left, down to the right, up to the right and down to the left followed by rapid blinking.
  • Slowly rotate eyes in all the directions and steadily concentrate one eye at a time. Do this for more than dozen times and try doing this with your eyes close.
  • Rub your hand together quickly. Once it is warm cover the eye without touching the eyelids. It relieves strain and stress from your mind and eyes which need the required break. This relaxes the nerves and helps in the blood circulation.
  • Move your head from side to side for the heat to benefit the eyes. After a while tries stretching the eyes to allow more sunlight to your eyes. Don't directly look at the sun is never good.
  • The Exercises will help you to improve your eyesight.
